Looking for 4th gen Si

well the time has to come to get rid of the ol' 4 door. After a snowy fender bender the other night, and some reliability issues (i.e. the tranny mysteriously locked up) i decided to get another. There are definitely more Si's out there in good shape than 4 doors.

anyone have any opinions on whats better, hatch or rex? i have always liked the rex, but the hatch is a winner too.

by the way, anyone wanna loan me like a grand

i would say civic Si...they are getting pretty darn rare...but a crx Si is just nothin...everybody's got one. in my immediate area, i can think of two civic Si's..(including mine) but there is at least 25+ crx Si's. one more thing...i would look for a 90/91 Si...the dashboards, IMO, on the 88/89's are pretty ugly.

what is wrong with your 4 door? i have a extra zc tranny you can have for $100, with the half shaft. or if the 4 door is not to bad shape i will trade you for my rust free 89 hatch.

uh oh..dissin the 88-89 dashboard eh? i'll start a new thread for this debate. actually i didn't like my 89 dash so i swapped it out for a 90 crx dash.

just a lil FYI...i've noticed the cheapest and generally best place to get a 4g Si (civic) is at a big dealers used car lot..seriously. they don't know how rare the Si's are, and most of the time they are as cheap as the DX's. look on www.autotrader.com and see if any dealers have ones as trade-ins. you can alot of times find them as one owner cars and get a really good deal from unsuspecting big car dealer used car salesmen..muahaha. i got mine in VERY good condition, one owner, all original for 2.5k low miles too..hehe

crxgator: thanks for the offer, but i am sure that i dont have enough for your car. I dont even have enough to get a non-modded 4th gen... gotta get to the bank and see what kind of loan they will give me.

Thanks for the opinion there gotatight...i've always been more partial to the 90-91's too.

revhard: i would love to trade with ya, but my car is not exactly worth anything. When you get to 320,000 miles and 2 fender benders, i dont think anyone can put a dollar amount on a car like that .
